Our task was to create a film trailer and two anxcillary texts. I teamed up with three others which luckily I worked with on the last years project. This is an advantage because we are aware of each others strengths and weaknesses.
Overlooking my role in the group, my focus was on garageband; working on the background music, participating on the camera work, some appearance in the trailer/magazine cover, editing and brainstorming initial ideas as we went. This sets an example that I have had an input with the final product of my groups trailer, Magazine cover and poster.
Skills and qualities such as being open-minded and flexibility has allowed me to listen to others ideas in the group (even if I did not totally agree with some), the ideas have significantly improved each of the products. One of the feebacks that we got was to apply a sound effect of the car breaking hard. Some of our group thought that the sound would make the trailer sound more unrealistic by making the break more prominent. Yet the feedback showed us that it is important to let the audience know what was going on the the scene.
On the other hand, I believe that my performance could have improved by not taking up so much time by laughing in the trailers. I am aware that I am no Oscar winning actress, however I found it hard to compose myself when trying to act scared.
