Qurantine and Queensdown Warren

While in doing our research, we saw the Quarantine trailer which we believed has a remarkable simularity when the girl gets dragged into the darkness and away from the camera.

We decided to shoot this scene because we thought it portrays a physical manipulation and female vulnerability. In relation to Quarantine's shot, I think it is more effective because the girl actually dissapears into the darkness, this provokes fear of what is pulling her. Whereas in our trailer, the audience can see who is pulling the girl. This is less effective. To improve, we could edit the lighting and make the scene darker, then just shine a light on the main characters face, so she is then pulled out of the lighting.
