For our next session, we decided to use up less time and take the photos for the magazine cover while filming. We didnt want to shoot for the poster as well because both of the male characters couldnt make it to this filming session, and we had an image to have them in the poster.
Today, we filmed and also tested the range of shots that can be possibly used in the trailer. We wanted to aim to get as many shots as possible so that we had more choice of angles and movements when it came to editing the trailer.
We entered this session with many ideas in our head. This is an excellant start to creating the trailer. We was all motivated and feeling positive about the possable effects that can be introduced to this project. The weather was just how was wanted it, muggy, slightly damp and dark yet it was important that we didnt film when it was too dark otherwise we would have to adjust the the lighting.
We mainly focused on the three girls getting into the car and driving. We shot them having a convesation like anyother teenage girls would, and applied this as diegetic sound on the trailer. This would imply that these girls are just ordinary, random girls going on a camping trip.
We shot the girls getting into the car on my front drive. We wanted to syncornise the cardoors closing at the same time, this took ages! In this scene we also used an overshoulder shot the car boot being closed, and a low angle of the car moving off the drive. These variety of shots help to give a more vivid idea of what was going on.
